Spring is just a few weeks away and being the foodie enthusiasts that we are, we actually get excited about the farmers market and all the new, fresh seasonal produce that’s going to be available. We are dreaming up delicious & healthy spring recipes right now.
 
We love grabbing our giant straw bag from Show me your Mumu, it’s seriously the perfect size to fit all your goodies in and then riding our bikes to the local farmers market and wandering around. We love the vibe – the interaction between people. The passion behind what the people actually do. The food you find at the markets is from farm to table. Everything is fresh, locally grown and made with love. But why is that so important to us?
 
Well, did you know that our bodies are so intuitive that they actually crave particular nutrients found in seasonal produce? How clever is that?
 
Next time your taste buds start salivating for fresh, juicy pineapple in the 104 degree heat, it’s probably no coincidence. Your body is most likely needing that Vitamin C, Magnesium and Vitamin B hit!
 
Shopping at local farmers markets is not only better for us and our taste buds, nom nom. It’s also better for our pocket, the environment and it’s the perfect way to ensure that we are eating fresh, organic produce that is in season.
