I have always had a very strong affinity for butterflies, both literally and figuratively as to what they represent. They represent change, emerging as a better self and fill the world with beautiful colors and flight that can make anyone smile.
 
Ever since I was a little girl, butterflies would land on me and many times I am able to pick them up…gently of course. Butterflies always seem to enter my life during great times of change but it is always comforting and beautiful because I know that something really exciting is around the corner. Change is a beautiful thing and necessary for personal growth but not everyone finds change easy to embrace. Here are my 5 ways to embrace change and help transform your life.
 
 

Journal

Journaling is a great way to help embrace change. I know it kind of seems counter intuitive, but keeping a record of our days, momentous occasions and things that affect us deeply on a daily basis provides an indicator if you will for how far we’ve come. How much change we have actually experienced, how much growth we have experienced and how this change has affected us in a positive way.
 

Mix It Up

Changing up your daily routine is great way to help you embrace bigger change. Start small. Think ordering something different for lunch, taking a different route to work, wear a color that you wouldn’t usually wear, eat at a new restaurant, get a new haircut. These little changes help you experience new things in a less confronting way than jumping out of an airplane or moving to a new country.
 
 

Glass Half Full

Perspective is a funny thing. People fear change, but change is not a bad thing. Change means growth, transformation and evolution. We just have to make sure that we believe that change is a positive thing. Don’t be scurrred. You can’t control what happens in life but you ca control how it impacts. Even the downs. There is a lesson to be learned and growth to come from every challenge and every blessing in our life. You just have to see that.
 

Laws of Attraction

Like attracts like. We know this. Surround yourself with people who enjoy change, who challenge themselves on a regular basis, who push their human potential to the limits to become better versions of themselves. Vibrancy, positivity and a can-do attitude in your friendships and relationships will help you adopt the same mindset and attract more of that into your life.
 

Feel your Growth

It’s important to feel yourself grow and change. Take on your new adventures. Try something you have always wanted to do but never “had the time for”. Make new circles of friends with different interests. Feel how these things affect your energy, your mind and your soul. Absorb new teachings, allow yourself to transform into the next version of yourself. Feeling your personal growth is a great way to reaffirm the positive effects of change.
