If you're anything like me, you may suffer from a slight Amazon
addiction. Or a I prefer to call it ... a love affair. This is not a paid post by the way - this is simply just me expressing how obsessed with Amazon
I am. It has changed my life. There is something so magical about type g into the search bar what you need and then it arriving on your door step just two days later! Hello modern technology.
I use Amazon so often for work orders as well as just general household stuff, that I end up with a TONNE of empty Amazon boxes lying around my home. Then I thought ... why not combine my love of repurposing and my passion for overnight delivery and create stylish storage boxes for all the stuff I buy!?
These storage boxes at the store can cost you up to $60, say what? I say, with some hot glue and some house hold items why not literally turn your trash into treasure. Here is what you will need to get started.
DIY Corded Storage Box
You Will Need:
- Using hot glue, attach cord in single layers around all sides of the box, starting at the bottom and working your way up to the top. Let dry.
- Take a pillow case and place it in your box, folding the top under itself until tucked in and secure around the top of the box.
- Optional: Purchase removable/washable Milk Crate Basket liners, available at Big-Box stores.
- To attach handles, cut slits in the top of 2 sides, pull a piece of your cord through and tie in a loose loop.
