Every girl has beauty products that she can’t live without! You know that bronzer you don’t leave the house before putting on, because you glow in the dark without it, or that mascara you ALWAYS buy because you be lovin’ them thick long lashes.
These are my five favorite beauty products that I CAN NOT live without. I’m always on the go, so I like to keep it minimal. I’m a no frills kind of gal. I always use these 5 products to make my life just that little bit easier.

All About that Base for the Face

La Mer Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream
  • Every face needs a good base. Moisturizing your skin is one of the most important steps in your beauty routine – or so I’m told. I’m not an expert. But I know that over the years I have trialled many moisturizers. About 7 years ago I found the one (not my husband), the one for my face. La Mer Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream. Now I know the price tag can scare some people off and I get it. But a little of this cream goes a long way so this stuff lasts me forever. Also, think of it as an investment for healthy, youthful skin. It’s so super hydrating and leaves my face feeling phenomenal.

It wont’ happen overnight, but it will happen

    Pureology Shampoo
  • I have a theory. If you have good skin and your hair looks fabulous, you really don’t need to do much else to yourself before you head out the door. Great hair starts with a great shampoo and my cousin/hair stylist from my EM:HE days, Jaime, first put me onto Pureology and I have never looked back. It’s hydrating and keeps my hair looking fresh, full of body and babein’.

I got love for you, if you were born in the 80s!

    The Scrunchy
  • Okay, okay don’t hate me just yet. Keep scrolling. If you were a child of the 80s or early 90s, you are familiar with the one and only Scrunchy. Now, surprisingly these are making quite the comeback on the style hot list, but I keep mine hidden for night time use only. I started this trick years ago when I was on the road to help me keep the curl in my hair without having to re-do it every day – because lets be honest, when I was building a house in 5-10 days, a girl just doesn’t have that kind of time. So here is the trick. Before bed, brush your locks and tip your head over, pull all the hair together as if you were going to put it into a high pony tail. Wrap the hair around itself into a bun on top of your head and secure it with your oh so fabulous scrunchy. That’s it. Now whilst it’s not gonna get your significant other hot and bothered in the bedroom, you will wake up with luscious locks. All you gotta do is remove the scrunchy (no hair tie lines or bumps) and brush out your curl. Voila, ready to go!

    Let it Glow?

Young Blood Lunar Dust - Sunset
  • My Soul Sister @amekajane introduced me to this product and I am obsessed. A little tinted moisturizer and a light dusting of this lunar dust, you are ready to impress. This illuminating dust gives you a warm bronze with a little illumination, making you look tanned, soft and dewy all day long. Who doesn’t want that? It’s so good to throw on when you're headed to the beach or a day by the pool with the gals when you don’t need makeup but just a little color to look refreshed.

    Pout it Out

    Lucas Papaw Ointment
  • They key to the perfect pout. Another product that my aussie babe @amekajane got me addicted to. This stuff is AMAZING. It’s so lubricating and keeps my lips from getting cracked and chapped when I’m out in the elements and always putting products on my face that dry my skin out. The best thing about this product is that its multi-purposeful. You can use it on cuts, grazes, cuticles, burns and insect bites. Heck all you mama’s out there can even use it for diaper rash. It’s the bomb diggity.
So there you have it. 5 products for a low maintenance girl that help make you feel flawless and ready to step out in public as your fabulous self. Try them out. Let me know if you love them as much as I do! We wanna know your favorite beauty products too, so share with us in the comments section or on Instagram @thesoulsistersus #thesoulsisters
