Morning Motivation: Coffee Cup QuotesNovember 27, 2017
MERRY CHRISTMASDecember 25, 2017
Christmas is just three more sleeps away and while the excitement builds and the preparations are underway, we can't help but think of those who are less fortunate than we are and who might be missing out this holiday season. So we just wanted to remind everyone to give back where you can this holiday season.
Volunteer spots fill up fast over the holidays but there are still many ways you can give back.
Here are 5 simple ways to GIVE these holidays
Donate wherever you can ... food, toys, clothes. Something you may no longer need could be someone's treasure and a luxury this time of year.
Hospitals, while most hospitals are wonderful at creating the holiday spirit for their patients, visitors can brighten someone's day. Not everyone has family and your time could make all the difference. Just be sure to check with your local hospitals policies and visiting hours.
Offer to help carry someone's groceries to the car or assist with some heavy lifting. It sounds really simple and silly but honestly, the offer alone will make someone smile. Lending a helping hand can be the greatest gesture and the most appreciated gift.
Grabbing coffee on the go? Why don't you pay for the person behind you? Don't tell them, just tell the barista that you would like to pay for the next persons order and leave enough cash to cover it. Don't tell the person behind you, let them enjoy a pleasant surprise and go on your merry way. Sometime's it's the littlest things that can make a difference.
Be Kind. Be patient. Smile. It sounds simple but the holiday's can bring out the wild in even the best of us. Often we are overwhelmed, stretched to our limits and very tired. Remember that everyone is feeling this way. It's busy, it can be stressful, there are a lot more people out and about this time of year but everyone is doing their best. Show kindness to strangers and remember 'tis the season to be jolly!
We hope that everyone can find it in their hearts to give something this holiday season. No matter how big or small, you can make a difference. Happy Holidays!
